I don't blame corrupt power mongers or even politicians, since that is the normal role they play in the world and should be no surprise; as much as I do blame our justice system, which seems to be operating in a state of virtual paralysis at the hands of partisans. I recommend we separate the justice department from partisan influence and provide appropriate checks and balances with the separate government divisions. That has little to zero chance of happening but it is needed just the same.
