FB-Dimm controllers even on die will have worse latency than AMD's straight DDR2/3 version. *If* Intel has DDR controllers for 1-2 way sockets then they will be on equal terms. For 4-ways and above they will still take a greater latency hit on a cache miss and what I said about memory parallelism stands. It has to be also proven yet that they will have DDR controllers on 1-2 way sockets and I remain very sceptical.
