my friends son lives in apartment condos in downtown chicago. he said they got 80 mile hour wides at his place ,hoffman estates and son same downtown, he is son lost power and sky light opened up with wind and was leaking like hell. No idea of what he meant sky light opened. mine are on gears to open and close and the frame is about 9/12 inches all the way around and sealed to roof with tar paper and shingle nailed down over them. never a leak.. if the plastic stuff they always leaked nothing but trouble and no insulation.
