Terrorism as we have seen it is more that a tactic. It has transcended the concept of terrorism as a tactic in war. The "Terrorism of the Jihadist" as we have witnessed in the past 20 years is an 'Ideological Terrorism'. To say that this Terrorism is not Ideological is begging the question. One cannot separate the two in this war on world-wide Terrorism perpetrated by the Jihadist. mj

Terrorism is NOT an 'ideology'. Terrorism is a TACTIC. The deliberate targeting of civilians to induce fear in a target population. A military tactic that has been known and used since long before the Romans. (Most often associated with warfare involving asymmetrical force structures). Certainly, one can say that terrorism is the preferred tactic of the jihadists' ideology, there is no denying that much... these grandiose whackos intend to conquer the world according to their fascist moslum ideology, and in this way they have made terrorism a very component of their ideology itself... as a result, terrorism as a tactic has become synonymous with their ideology... this has become the perception and the reality, and splitting hairs beyond that is nonproductive... you cannot apply 20th century cold war logic to a 21st century phenomenon... of course, terrorism is as ancient as war, but it has also become a component of an ideology, this is how these whackos think... these are the facts, and denying them will not make them go away...
