The housing version of NCLB. Set a target, "teach" to it, measure it, and distort results.

Bush trying to take credit for something stoopid and he was too stupid to realize it was going to blow up in his face.

I saw a house for sale today. 429K (2-3 yrs new) w/ nothing down. Owner financed with 17k DOLLAR "grant." The house wouldn't sell normally for 329K. It must be some kind of closed end lease CRAP LOAN. 40 year interest only. What kind of crap is that. You're immediately under water 100K from the get go!!

in 2003 timeframe the employment situation and deficit situation was so bad that all the Bush WH had to hang their hat on was home ownership. It was pathetic to watch because you knew it had to end badly. I think the idiots in the fed finance dept which at that time included John Snow, Elane Chow and Robert Evans really had *no idea* what was going on in the US economy at all. They basically thought the 90s were a god given right and I think. When we started losing 100K jobs/mo Elaine Chow was completely blindsided. This has to be the stupedist administration on every level we have ever had (I sure hope so anyway).
