I think you're right. There are many ideologues who think that the only legitimate use for government is to socialize the rich's losses, and to buy weapons from their buddies in the defense industry. Programs that benefit society's stability and prosperity such as social security and public education are in their eyes a waste. I think longsnot is one of these ideologues.
