"The problem with your view of what constitutes good and evil is that it can never transcend the internal ethical standards of the Society itself or rise above the level of "value"."

Who did you think was going to judge what is acceptable and what is not? Only living people can set their standards of co-existence. So (as a society) is it prudent to assign this task to either the maniacs of force or the maniacs of faith--or would it not serve society better to determine her progress through a commitment to human rights and a reasoned legal system to guarantee those values?

We tried YOUR way during the INQUISITION and other such debaucheries, and although it satisfied the needs of the maniacs of FORCE and FAITH, it did not serve the values of civilization or of peaceful and co-operative co-existence. Neither do the modern day equivalents of those with superior rights and moral charge (through their "transcending" reliance on supernatural myths) further any goals for humankind apart from her destruction and the recidivism of society into the abyss of mindless despair.

What are you studying this week in Sunday School, btw? Anything apropos of God's "merciful" murderous rages?
