zebra4o1:re:"get the Ken Lay treatment". Oh, no, that's too
severe. The fastest/secretest cremation in history of
important/famous person (key witness to lots of stuff lost
just like that).

The hidden story is that the NYT is creeping toward closing TimesSelect.

GRETCHEN MORGENSON was usually, esp on Sunday, walled off. If this article gets high readership, it will help move the site to advertising-based, which is what the WSJ will do with new ownership.

That was an amazing expose on Countrywide - just vicious. Looks like Mozilo might be in line to get the Ken Lay treatment.

no kidding.

he looks the part as well....way more than ken lay, who looked like somebody's accountant...

mozilo looks and dresses (got that full on broadway look)literally like some kind of mafioso john gotti

would you buy a used car from that guy?

nah...

but sure as hell will take out a $500K loan!
