I do not advocate non involvement -- on the contrary, I would say we are incredibly isolated and disengaged right now in many ways that have harmed us. We owe it to ourselves and to others to be as aware as possible of the options available to us, and to play a constructive role whenever possible. When it comes to Iraq, we had choice, and the choices we made were horrendously bad ones. I have never advocated disengagement -- indeed the invasion of Iraq reflects a deep disengagement from a global leadership tole.
