I was thinking of grief more as a gamer's term. Griefing is sort of a sport in computer games. You go into a discussion, or a game or any organized activity and disrupt it with insults or by breaking the accepted rules of the game.

I have not yet been reduced by an SI post to weeping and rending my garments in despair.
But it could happen.
