Say it all you want but I have known about FB-Dimm's no latency improvement since 2004 unlike you who can't even believe it now.

Not all that much, if any. P4 chipsets are already delivering open page latency on the order of ~90ns or so. AMD's open page latency looks to be about 50~60ns or so. About half of that is from the DRAM devices, so you can perhaps squeeze half of the latency out if you went with AMD's "bare iron" CPU->DRAM approach. My WAG is that a CPU to AMB to DRAM config would have idle system latency roughly comparable to what the P4 system deliver now. It may be slightly better, but not by much.
