Dear Sailor, Here in the Sand Box we buy gold bullion. You can go down to the Gold Souk not Suck and buy as much as you want. Silver in bars is also available. We are also having a Real Estate Boom. 40,000 accommodation's to be completed this year and there is still a short fall. Rents and school fees have double in 2 years. Most of the locals have not heard about the subprime problem. I just did a swing through Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait talking to some heavy duty businessmen and not one of them had a clue.
