Good question. What if's don't mean much in the midst of a warring planet. If Jesus knocked on your door and asked you to come with him to be a fisher of men, would you just kick back and have another doobie? If Ghandi asked you to get off your ass and stand against corrupt authority would you just sip on your wine a little longer? If Mohammad asked you to sign a peace accord between Palestine and Israel would you prefer to just sing a serenade under some pretty girl's balcony? If Budda told you to sit placidly and meditate for forty years, would you head for the tavern? If I asked you to be my friend, would petty partisan politics interfere or could I trust you?
