A test of the lows seems quite probable before long.

I agree. This Friday seems a likely time for this rebound to peak. End of the month window dressing, then Da Boyz come back from summer vacation on the first day of the typically dangerous September/October period. It wouldn't be the first time that Labor Day has brought a change of climate.
