All this religion talk reminded me of this. My father and I were Lutheran and owned a clothing store. He let another Lutheran buy a 1/3rd partnership and he stole a bunch but he did have a good following. That's good in sales. Well he and I went to a convention in Chicago and he hooked up with a hooker. I handled the money and he wanted me to charge off the hooker. Like I was gonna do that. Then it got to be what he paid the whore was the grocery money for his family and could I give him a loan until pay day. Like a jerk I did. Come pay day it was I'm a good Christian and do a lot more work for the Church than you do. That money was spent on sin so it's better you as a single guy should eat the cost. Then he and his brother in law started a new clothing business and broke all the rules in the buy/sell contract. Then they went broke. Guess what, all my family blamed me and I got the shun. The kicker is that all the cousin's kids are now out of my will. I miss a few turkey dinners and their kids miss a $250k left to.
