Baruch Goldstein was a terrorist too. So was Tim McVey. The reason for the argument about islam in the first place is that in islam this perverted view has gained more traction. That has to do with backwardness, poverty, colonialism and a negative sense of self worth.

Rough, I've read enough translated Koran to see that like the Bible, it's full of blood and guts and stonings and olde time carnage. That's how life was then, everywhere. Women had 10 children each and had to to get numbers up so the males could defeat competing tribes over the hill/river/desert or on the other side of the forest. It was a breed and fight or die life. You are over-rating "basic human decency and common sense". Most people are NOT decent and are keen to take property from others against their will and will otherwise boss them and be dominant. You can see that in electoral results around the world, decade after decade. The authentic message of the Koran is what it says and that's kill the apostate, the infidel, stone the woman to death for adultery etc. And a lot more besides. It is NOT a religion of peace. Not until the opposition is vanquished anyway. It's like calling a nuclear-armed ICBM a "Peacemaker". That's the true nature of "basic human decency and common sense". Putin and Bush aren't flying long range aircraft around each other to run tourism projects. There are swarms of Moslem terrorists and hordes of Moslems who like what they do. The Islamic Jihad youth of London are not crazed. They are highly rational - they want to be the boss and will kill the opposition to achieve it. That is what nature does. Right across the plant and animal worlds, that's what's going on. It is highly rational. That's why they are so gung ho for it. The arrogance of the West is that they think the others want to be like them. They think they are superior, and think those they take in will be appreciative, that they'll integrate, change their cultural concepts etc. That's absurd. They will instead take over when they get half a chance. Since their philosophical basis is Koranic, megalomaniac, and superstitious, that's what they'll impose. They are not Libertarians imbued with self-determination. They believe the opposite. They will kill the opposition when they can. They are doing it. It's not propaganda. You are obviously ignorant about Moslem beliefs. The Koran is on-line, translated into English, which is probably a stoning offence. Have a read. The hopeful point is that Moslems, like Christians, don't actually read their book of instructions and don't take the words too literally. They say they do, but they are hypocrites. Luckily. Unfortunately, their willingness to believe ridiculous things and not use a rational mind to examine their beliefs, leads them to do all sorts of silly things which are harmful to them and others. Once magical thinking is adopted, anything is possible. So you get the Devil beaten out of children's brains with a paving slab and stuff like that. A friend was a juror in that case. Mqurice
