The Sunday morning talk shows may have fun with the Craig/Romney connection but I don't think the average voter will much care. Tucker will have some scorn heaped on him for a while but no lasting effect. Craig will be taking the big hit alone and deservedly so. Amazing how he's gotten away with it so long: In an interview on May 14, Craig told the Idaho Statesman he'd never engaged in sex with a man or solicited sex with a man. The Craig interview was the culmination of a Statesman investigation that began after a blogger accused Craig of homosexual sex in October. Over five months, the Statesman examined rumors about Craig dating to his college days and his 1982 pre-emptive denial that he had sex with underage congressional pages. The most serious finding by the Statesman was the report by a professional man with close ties to Republican officials. The 40-year-old man reported having oral sex with Craig at Washington's Union Station, probably in 2004. The Statesman also spoke with a man who said Craig made a sexual advance toward him at the University of Idaho in 1967 and a man who said Craig "cruised" him for sex in 1994 at the REI store in Boise. Larry Craig resigns his seat, Idaho law will require Gov. Butch Otter to appoint someone to fill the vacancy until the next general election, which is set for November 2008. "(Otter's) not commenting until he's had an opportunity to talk directly to the senator and he hasn't had a chance to do that yet," Hanian said Monday. Nicole LeFavour, D-Boise “We need to make sure we have all the facts. Since when are you an expert on the Repubs websites, Steve? How do you know his "video" was on any website, before this broke Any Dem who is cheering for Craig to be goaded into resigning are the same Dems who are whining about the so called gay-bashing..... If Craig did anything like the media is screaming about, then feel sorry for him and his family. Yes, he should leave. But Barney Frank and his ilk should have left a long time ago. The Dems tolerate him, even if he was running a house of male prostitution out of his abode..... The Dems not only cheer people who do as Frank did, but openly support those kind of things....see the ACLU if you want more info....
