I was amazed at the number of rich people who pay big money for canned or illegal hunts. Crazier yet pay for an animal and drive out and tag it and have it mounted. The only reason I ever saw for mounting was to be able to look at it and relive the day and hunt in my mind. If there is no story or memory, what is the point? Remember when that clown shot Samson out at Estes park? Thing was all but tame and the most photographed bull elk on the planet. If I remember right he took it to a taxidermist in Ohio thinking anyone in CO would recognize him. Unfortunately for him I doubt he could have found a taxidermist anywhere in this country that wouldn't have recognized him.
