Me: "Iraq was never about Al Queda. And here's a bulletin for you, Anbar province isn't about Al Queda."

You: "Excuse me, but Al Qaeda is of a different opinion, and has been quite vocal about it. WE didn't declare Iraq the main front in global jihad; they did."

So now you're thinking is based on what they claim?

You don't believe we're in a war with Al Qaeda, do you Ed? Because in war, the enemy gets a vote. And what he can credibly claim matters quite a bit.

As far as I can tell, you believe that the whole problem would go away if we ignored it. Which sort of begs the question of how the whole string of Al Qaeda attacks since 1993 happend in the first place.
