I think that the most damage to OBL, and his group, took place in Afghanistan.

Somehow or other, the deals in that area have left him alive.

The humans living in Iraq are now being considered irrelevant. The US is kicking up dust to attract the attention of radical groups. These are then, in turn, supposed to attack the US in Iraq so that it can then be a conventional war. This is then supposed to protect us at home .. perhaps because they will all be occupied over there.

I'm sure that if this had been the stated purpose, congress would have never gone for it.

Yes .. I'm trying to see the big picture here.

I don't think that the plan is a very good one.

You see, the "dust" we kick up over there has human parts in it. And almost every one of those parts has family and friends. I can see how they might deeply resent just being a dust screen.

OK Sadam earned his noose .. but he's done now.

Do you seriously think that OBL & Co. will simply play some game by rules laid out by the US?

I'm curious: Within our current context, what do you think about Pakistan and Saudi Arabia?
