What Bin Laden trades? -g- I think buying, say, SPZIT (Sep. 700 SP
call) is about the same as buying ULPIX, only you can trade it
with relatively narrow spread intraday. Shorting the call is
equivalent to buying USPIX with the same advantage of possible
intraday trading. I can see an advantage of the call over
ULPIX in these volatile markets, these articles about
someone investing outrageous amount of money are strange,
although, I admit, so was the call volume in SPY - 10K volume
for every strike, deep in the money.

I admit, THAT IS a Bin Laden trade

It can also be classified as Pig trade. I have a few of those
in December Puts. Nothing seems unusual. Some folks
believe we are going to decline into (at least) a 4-year cycle
bottom this Fall, which is normally a decline of 300-400 SP points from
the top. The market probably won't drop 200 points in 3 weeks,
but you never know. I guess there are folks who bet it will. -g-
