Even the Republican should take a lesson from this. Even if they don't like government, it's a fact of life. You have to at least want it to run as best it can.

Well said. What I didn't understand is Gonzales going through all those sessions with Congress only to resign a month later. Then again, I am trying to apply logic to a neocon move.

Seeing it in writing doesn't give it justice. By chance, I turned on the BBC on my way home from the gym. They were making a big thing of it and then played excerpts from Bush's speech. I think he's getting very close to making a move and this time he won't be asking Congress's permission.
