re Pakistan. Please note where OBL is able to stay alive. When the president of Pakistan visited GWB a few months ago he told GWB something like: The reason that we helped you was because you threatened to bomb us into the stone age. Saving face? perhaps .. but OBL is still alive there. Most people involved in 9/11 were from SA including OBL. Why was it more logical to fight terror in Iraq than SA? Answer .. politics and perhaps corruption.

SURE he is. :-) (Just another GENERAL who TOOK OVER IN A COUP, canceled elections, arrested the democratic opposition, and has been trying to 'amend' (LOL!) the Constitution, fire the Judiciary, etc., so he can remain as Fearless Leader past the allowed number of terms... just like the proto-Dictator in Egypt that's his pal....) I'm sure he's 'doing the best he can' and we can 'trust what he says'! :-( (Geeze... you don't really fall for that stuff, do you? Pakistan and Saudi Arabia CREATED the Taliban for God's sake... and supported them all these years as an instrument of Pakistan's national policy --- to keep a compliant SUNNI 'buffer state' between Pakistan and their Shiite rivals in Iran... so they can be free to turn their attention to their fight with INDIA.) It really ain't hard to understand. Classic politico-military maneuvering.....
