Its not as simple as you make it out to be but you are mostly right. And of course jews paid the price for israel getting the boot from countries like iraq where there were large jewish communities. In a way, israel existed for population transfer. No way to really say what the status of jews would have ended up being in the middle east including greater palestine, if israel didnt become a state or there wasnt large immigration to the area. Blame the brits for all of this---its easier to do than trying to figure out what would have been a fairer solution post WW2. Remember too, before there was israel there was WW2 with the arabs taking a definitively pro nazi position. Why was that because jews wanted to live in biblical israel again.

Well 60+ year later this all falls into the category of "who cares?" Israel is there now with a large population, and it isn't going away. The USA is an example of how Jews and Muslims (and everybody else) can live together in equality, but the USA is on the other side of the planet, and the USA's views on equality are not that important in that region of the world. You evidently claim allegiance to one of those warring tribes rather than support both equally - that's your choice. But as a non-Jew-non-Muslim, I would prefer to support the idea that all those humans should try to live together as equals, even if it might take a few CENTURIES.

No, because the Nazis were against the two major colonial powers in the Arab Middle East, the British and the French. My enemy's enemy...
