my comments referred to this statement for the dollar index not trading below the 80 barrier Yep, we were referring to two different areas. My guess is that he was referring to M2, but even if it was M3, it is true that many other CBs are running higher than the rough 12% average growth of US M3... and its also true as you note about the credit & derivatives games currently trumping the Fed. No question about the US becoming less important internationally... and consuming itself somewhat like Ouroboros. -ng-
