Laura Bush was supposed to accompany GW to Sydney for the upcoming conference. At the last minute, she cancelled the trip due to a pinched nerve in her back. But a few days before, she had traveled alone to MN, then to TX and then, I think, on to Colorado before heading back to DC, seemingly without any trouble. How much you want to bet she doesn't have a pinched nerve in her back. Maybe a pain in her butt but not a pinched nerve. ;-) PS Isn't GW in Crawford? How come the first lady ain't by his side?
