He did have an interesting point:

We contribute 3 billion a year in aid to Israel. We contribute 2 billion to Egypt, we provide aid to Saudi Arabia, and many more Middle East countries who are enemies of Israel. Some of this aid ends up providing arms to terrorists resulting in more violence.

(Though I believe his numbers are now *low* for how much aid we give --- it does beg the question: if we stopped giving so much to the Arab countries, would Israel even *need* as much anymore?)

Israel is the only democracy in that region, and you would abandon it?

Since you put it that way…why not?

What have they done for us? They are the root cause of our Middle East problems. They are a liability, and not much of a democracy at that. TIA
