Re: would mean "just let it all happen around us, but don't intervene"...

No.

Not at all.

(Nor has he said anything like that....)

He says: "Only when it is clearly in OUR NATIONAL INTEREST."

In other words, he has *no problem* with the US DEFENDING ITSELF, even so-called 'aggressive defense'... (for example: he strongly supported the attack on the Taliban in Afghanistan, and hot-pursuit of OBL *wherever the Hell he goes*!), but is opposed to dilatory, unproductive mucking about in other nation's sovereign affairs... CERTAINLY opposed to putting the American taxpayer in great DEBT over such counter-productive and ill-conceived business.

>Ron Paul's non intervention policy would mean "just let it all happen around us, but don't intervene".<

Dude!! We can't pay the money that would be required to control the world.

We've been stupid enough to try for a while now. All it does is get people pissed at us.

Even if we COULD run the whole earth .. should we?

I don't believe that we are at the place where we have any choice about "letting it happen." We simply do not and can not rule the entire planet.
