In a period of about 6 months it totally changed my health - I'm convinced of it. At a time when I needed to get healthier and really needed an injection of confidence in myself it was exactly what the doctor ordered. The only difference being that a doctor didn't order it - a banker friend did and what a life changing order it was! It worked so well for me that I put my father on the diabetic plan and its really held his blood sugar in check! What its taught me is how to read labels and how to be a better eater. Over time you start to eat to live rather and live to eat. Protein (and I guess I never knew this) is the key to appetite control. When you consume protein rather than carbs and sugars your hunger just sort of goes away. Now, rather than a bag of Doritos I'll eat a small bag of soy chips and it satisfies me. Kashi is another great snack food. Weight watchers is another plan that has some great health benefits. What I've tried to do is utilize the basis behind Nutrisystem AND increase dietary fiber as well. Doing both ends of those systems works like a charm and it was not that hard. I think I said I weighed 235 when I first went on the plan...I wasn't being totally honest LOL!! I weighed more like 245 and now I'm around 193-198. When I first started the doc said 205-210 would be a good weight for me because I'm just a bigger boned guy even though I'm only 6'1. Once I got going and the health benefits were obvious I ended up blowing past 210. I hit a plateau at 220 but once I broke that I experienced an explosion to the downside

I started Nutri System and lost 10 ponds so far..not great, but I don't stick to it like I should..
