cj, what are the current rules w.r.t. length of suspension and/or escalation for repeat offenders? I don't recall.

Would it take a vote to implement the simple scheme I suggested? Hopefully not. IIRC, when the speed limit became a rule, there was a more complicated 3-tiered penalty process.

First suspension -- 2 days

Repeat violation within 1 week of end of any suspension should result in 1-week suspension instead of 2 days.

Does the moderator have the capability of suspending someone for a period of time, or does this take two separate actions?

No doubt, someone will want a more complex cell-phone-like scheme that awards "rollover posts." <g>
