Two-year auction results strong The Treasury Department awarded $18 billion of new two-year notes in its Wednesday auction at 4.115%. The auction results were "very strong," according to Action Economics. The bid-to-cover -- which measures bids received to bids tendered -- was 3.97, "nearly double the 2.59 seen in July and 2.80 achieved in May -- the highest on our records back to April 1991," Action Economics analysts wrote.
