"The USSC has broadly construed the Commerce Clause to justify these types of laws..."

Yes, I know (in two terribly decided opinions) they have blow that particular clause up to a ridiculous extent --- so far that most near *ANY* federal action can be rationalized.

(For example: their, [IMO], completely idiotic decision regarding State level 'medical marijuana' laws where --- with ZERO evidence of *any* of the regulated output from a State licensed non-profit dispensary going across State lines as 'commerce' they none-the-less have claimed that the mere possibility of same 'justifies' a federal PREEMPTION of State regulation.)

Utter SPECIOUS nonsense.... Down THAT particular road lies a Totalitarian future wherein ALL law is pushed down from the very top, and absolutely *no* local or State-level legal domain exists any longer.

If the plain words of our Constitution mean nothing any longer... then they should find the guts to say so.
