painting the house two years ago their favorite place was the facial part , where aluminum trim covers face board between roof and shingles... any place where you have a bend etc there is a nest in there. i cleaned out about twenty on the house when up on roof, contempory house so i have the roof all cut up in various sections.

i was spraying one place that i wanted to stain and paint the next day.. doing great until i saw dozens of them coming out the other end of the facial. i always carried two full cans with me on the roof.

then staining the cedar down below next to central air conditioning unit i think i here the unit click in and out.. i hear a hmmmmm which i thought was electricity .. after awhile i looked and it was wasps warning me i too close to the next on a/c unit.. they were right next to my ear. never came after me but did get the wings running.

this year i have only found one nest and that in the one at rear of house in back under overhang where it joins house foundation. to caulk it in the fall i will need to crawl under there about two feet on my back. not sure i want to that at my age,, i get down that low i may never get back up.g

We have some unfinished overhang to work on - left over from the garage roof job.
