Not sure I fully understand your point. Are you saying
that the corner cases are so rare that from a performance
perspective, it doesn't matter if they're really slow?
If so, I pretty much agree. But I still think that it's
complicated to guarantee that they all work correctly.

Significantly more complicated than the way AMD does
things.
