The flow of federal dollars to the Gulf Coast two years after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastated the region already exceeds what the U.S. spent on the Marshall Plan to rebuild Europe after World War II.

That's what makes me ill about all of this reporting on Katrina. This was one area and most of Katrina's damage in New Orleans was caused by crooked politicians to begin with, they had been stealing the money to rebuild and fortify the levees for years...

Think of all the hurricanes Florida got, and yet received very little money for any of them...I know for a fact after Ivan and Dennis, the Panhandle of Florida received practically zilch..including what was owed by insurance companies.

I'm sick of NO crying the blues and yet electing the same crooked politicians.
