The only way I can explain to myself why I missed various bear plays on housing earlier this year was that I got caught up in the uranium mania (though I still think uranium has a huge future over the next ten years).

The idea of selling my house short is very appealing. (I don't mean the so-called "short sales" of mortgaged properties, which I do not understand.) I guess if I had borrowed 50% of the equity of my house and put it into SRS last spring, I would be looking at enormous profits.
