The fatah leadership says 67. Isreal needs to work with that as best they can. Otherwise sarmans quesitons comes into play on whether israel can indeed survive forever in a sea of hate. Its in the national interst of israel to do everything for peace that they can that doesnt affect national security. Getting rid of the non-contiguous settlements adds not subs from national security. That was the sharon plan for gaza and those settlements. The fact that the arabs made a mess of gaza does not change the fact that israel doesnt have to be in the mess day to day. And if gaza attacks israel, they have the right to defend themselves with whatever it takes.

<<They were offered the land. They replied with a terror war.>>

With regards to this conflict you have an uncanny knack for simplifying the very complex issues and clouding the simple issues to suit your Zionist bent.

Apart from the fact that the land offered back was only a percentage of the pre June '67 borders, the fact that the Palestinians had Arafat as their chief negotiator lent itself to inevitable failure. You'd like everyone to believe it was as simple as you stated above.

Reality leaves a lot to the imagination. ~John Lennon
