The US is 41st in lifespan. That's a disgrace period. Instead of asking the right questions, you are defending the indefensible. Shame! Ranking doesn't mean much. The difference between multiple countries and the US might mean something, at least more than a ranking, but even that doesn't tell you much about the health care system, as life expectancy is more a result of other factors than it is a result of how health insurance is handled. Tim, I don't have to look at other countries to see that something is wrong........at least 45 million Americans don't have any form of health, many more don't have enough coverage; many Americans don't have dental coverage......its been proven time and time again that the condition of your gums and teeth.....particularly your gums.....will determine the health of one's body; a greater and greater percentage of Americans are obese; asthma, obesity, diabetes 1 and 2 are becoming an epidemic among the young.....so much so that some MDs worry that that generation will be the first to not live longer then the previous generation; the rate of maternity deaths at birth are increasing; the rate of natal deaths is increasing.......the list goes on and on. This argument is exactly like the one over guns. Fact after fact is thrown into the right's collective faces only to get back an absurd comment like: "People kill, not guns". Such BS! You guys don't want to hear the truth because the truth doesn't work for you. We've seen that over and over again in the past 7 years. Its enough!
