That's true, and there are powerful forces arrayed to see that the decisive move doesn't occur. Ultimately markets are bigger than they (especially in Forex), though. I expect it to happen soon, whether or not the Fed cuts in September (if they do cut of course, that's one more accelerant on the flame....).

Will the BOJ let the yen break decisively up? Since it obeys the politicians, it's doubtful, unless inflation starts running a lot higher than the roughly 0%, where it's been stuck for years now.
