I say if no arafat, peace may have occurred. Nadine says not a dimes worth of difference between arafat and abbas and hamas for that matter. Most israelis seek peace and will accept abbas as a partner. I wont say most but i am sure a significant number of palestinians would be willing to make a lasting peace with israel. I think there are alot of closet peaceniks among the pals who cant say this sort of thing publicly in fear of consequences from the crazies.
