...but a country like Romania has to be able to show it is on the way before it can enter the EU. Otherwise, there would have been a flood of Romanians into Germany as soon as the ink on the admission papers had dried and that would overwhelm the German economy. That's what those "progressive" Germans believe. Sweden and Ireland never wasted any ink on keeping new EU citizens out and just look how much better their economies are doing and how low their unemployment thus is as compared to Germany. The Germans came up with some stupid idea last year, that at least one worker for each five Poles allowed to harvest the aspargus must be German. Since no Germans wanted that job, large amounts of aspargus was just left to rotten on the fields this year. Taro
