That was cool.....

We don't have loons in my state, so I appreciate the opportunity to hear them out in the wild like that.

We do have Mergansers though. Didn't see them this year, but our cabin is set back aways from the river, so we don't always see what comes floating by. My husband says he has seen a beaver the size of a labrador when he goes out fishing, but I haven't. I keep encouraging him to take the camera with him when he goes. I'm just going to have to start taking more walks to get some good shots.

Also............saw your post about the Kingfisher. We have two huge kingfisher that hang around our part of the river. I too have been trying to catch a shot, but they are really fast and don't sit still for long, so I'm still working on that.
