<If bernanke is no fool then he knows the problem delayed is a problem worsened.> We're way past the point of no return. We're screwed. There is nothing that Bernanke and the politicians can do except to push the problems out into the future. Bernanke didn't create this problem, he inherited it. If Bernanke and Bush announced that there will be no more easy credit and everybody needs to live within their means including all state and local governments, then we will get the deflationary depression that you so badly want.
