Maybe I didn't make myself clear. From a consumer perspective, you are a winner because all you pay is your deductible. A poor uninsured person who comes in after you with the same problem is a loser because he pays $940 for the sonogram. The hospital can afford to charge the insurance company $69 for your sonogram because they are getting so much more from the uninsured person.
