That was an interesting piece. I didn't realize you could put such big ticket items on credit cards.

I inquired about buying a car once with my AmEx and the dealership wouldn't have it. They didn't want to pay AmEx 2% of the price of the car, which is understandable. So unless the credit card companies are offering the seller a reduction in their usual fee, I wouldn't think that approach would fly. Unless the health care folks have big enough margins that 2% doesn't matter, that is...
