re: Still, for this man chosen by gw to make such as shocking statement...today I saw a news item saying that a family had lost two sons in iraq. Can you fathom pain like that? For what?

I can't imagine. For every life lost there are dozens of people affected. "Body counts" just begin to tell the story.

The Iraqis want us out, US citizens want us out, the people of the region and the rest of the world want us out.

But "the decider" won't hear of it. So our people die.

re: Zalmay Khalilzad told the daily Die Presse the Middle East was now so disordered that it had the potential to inflame the world as Europe did during the first half of the 20th century.

Could be, but I doubt it. A very nasty regional was is possible.

Still, for this man chosen by gw to make such as shocking statement...today I saw a news item saying that a family had lost two sons in iraq. Can you fathom pain like that? For what?

Exactly. For what? Do you notice none of the neos on this thread defend the war anymore? They just don't say anything. Everyone knows that its a joke except this country's president.
