John;

ts beyond me but the guy that runs CountryWide
made $42 million in SALARY last year

And Countrywide is still running ads trying to entice people into loans with marvelous terms and money for you to spend on whatever you want! No appraisals, no setup fees - whole list of crap you don't need to do - just take the money.

globaleconomicanalysis.blogspot.com
How can seemingly bright people keep proposing absurd bailout plans one right after another? The list keeps getting bigger and bigger. Gross, Bernanke, Obama, Bush, and now Steven Pearlstein at the Washington Post all have proposed absurd bailout plans. Pearlson proposes a "market solution" that requires intervention. It's from the twilight zone.
