"Let's face it. William Jefferson is the Marion Barry of New Orleans." Don't get me wrong. He is a sleaze and needs to be booted out of office. While it isn't perfectly clear he is crooked, and that is the reason his ass has so far stayed out of court, it takes a really weird set of circumstances to find his story credible. Personally, any politician who even gives the appearance of shadiness needs to re-evaluate his employment opportunities.
