I don't get it. The guy played a tough match against the number one player in the world, but Federer won two of those 4 sets 6-2. When I played in college and high school, I had a reputation for playing higher ranked players very tough. But I still lost. I wasn't good. I just had a great serve and a powerful overhead smash. Once good players recovered from my deadly serve, they discovered that even a so-so shot to my backhand was a sure winner. <G>

It can't be his age. When Rafael Osuna was his age, he led Mexico to a Davis Cup win over the heavily favored USA. When Agassi was his age, he was in the Top Five. Ditto for McEnroe. I fear it's the old "gotta find a great American to talk about" syndrome, with mediocre players get a lot of publicity. Andy Roddick, who is much better, gets less publicity because he's older and everyone knows he can't beat Federer or Nadal. Well, neither can Isner. And he can't beat Roddick, either.
