I've never driven in Mexico. US rental car companies pretty much forbid their cars from crossing that border. Once, while in Baja, we hired a taxi driver to take us fishing Sea of Cortez...funny, entertaining guy whose English was really good. Nevertheless, on the way, he had to stop at a market for beer - bought a quart-size and he used his seat belt to pop the lid and drank it while driving us the rest of the way...the guy who took me to Mexico was a CHP and he didn't say anything.LOL I have great respect for US truckers, and I am always courteous; they are, too. There's absolutely, IMO, no good that can come from allowing Mexican truckers access to American highways. This is a disaster.
